Default Showdown here?

UTG limps, SB completes and I check my option with J9o

UTG is 65/15/2. This could mean he's an idiot but I haven't seen much of an outrage from him so far.

Flop comes J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, UTG raises, SB folds, I call

Turn is Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, he bets, I call

River is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

he bets again and I call

I don't know if the turn call is good? His numbers suggest he would just limp with JQ. Of course I was aware he could well have 45, 89.
The river is not the best card. Now even J8 beats me. It also completes a gutshot (not the OESD at least)

villain is a LAG. He could have anything, and will raise the flop with a lot of crap. I 3-bet the flop lead the turn and slow down if he fires back.

Why do you think he has a strong hand here? 2 is a huge AF for someone with a VPIP of 65.

It must be said I had only like 40 hands on him and AF really converges slowly. My read was that so far he didn't do any psycho stuff.

I would also usually 3bet the flop. You can't possibly be thinking of folding the river the way you played it. You are underestimating his range. His range is usually gonna include any pair, Ace high, any straight draw, random overcards, etc.

Against a guy who seems pretty damn LAG I would often call down. Against a reasonable opponent it's a fold usually.
