Why didnt you bet the flop? you have tons of outs. I'd probably bet the flop, bet the turn, and see what happens.

because everyone called his UTG raise....so it is likely that someone has a Q or J and is looking to raise or check-raise here.

Checking with AK on this flop against this many cold-callers is standard imo. you are hoping that when the Q or J holder bets out that you get to see the next card for only one more bet.
Betting out just sets you up to have to potentially pay another bet to chase your various outs.


I really don't know if betting the turn would be warranted here.
Certainly the chances of getting EVERYONE to fold seem pretty darned slim.

Curious what others have to say here if they think Our house should have bet at some point.
I likely play it the same...I might try to take it on the river but I suspect there's a strong chance that somebody with 77 calls me down.

I think this is fine sir. If I thought a flop bet could get me a free card a lot or knock 2-3 players out I would bet it. If there was only one guy to act after you I'd bet it. In this case I think your play is fine.
