Default value bet river?

villian is pretty solid from what I've seen so far and we've clashed in the blinds about 4-5 times now with me winning the last 2-3.

I wouldn't. Looks like you're behind to AJ-QJ.

I dont like the turn 3 bet, you barely have a calling hand let alone a 3 betting hand, if your intentions were to 3 bet the turn for a free showdown since you were gonna calldown anyways than i get it, but since you thought about betting the river, than I have no idea what was going through your head on the turn when you 3 bet. On the river, a value bet by you would be a serious mistake in my opinion, it is just too likely that you are behind and if you are ahead than the villain probably has a busted draw and wont call anyways.

the way this hand played out, there is a v good chance your hand is good, but there is no chance you are the favorite is you are called... clear check.

my 3bet on the turn was because I put him on this range after his checkraise; somethign like A6/A5, straight draw, diamond draw and I wanted to find out for sure by seeing if he's willing to capp me if I represent a J or better.

After the turn action I was going to bet any non diamond, non face/ace river.

I'm quite sure QJ, KJ, AJ will not play like this and although its thin don't you think I would get a call out of a busted flush draw or something like A5d, A6 maybe even AQ or AK.

Villian will be getting 11:1 for his call on the river if I had bet.

thin but is the value there?
