I often will bet on this flop.

I didn't bet the flop I would bet the turn 99%+ of the time.

Weak play leads to weak results.

I see no reason to not have a t100 continuation bet on the flop. If he calls, check/fold to the river. Is this terrible advice?

Looking back at the hand, I really should have bet the flop to the point that maybe I shouldn't even have posted this hand.

I would have taken the line of calling the river. You're only behind an ace or jack, and I don't believe it here as tight as he played it. Without reverse implied odds coming from future bets, I think you can safely call this on the end.
