Reading the discussion about that hand reminds me a little of learning pythagorean's theorom. I can understand the concept of a^2 + b^2 = c^2 , but I don't think I could've ever come up with it. Reading analysis like those makes me feel very inadequate in the poker world.

Thanks for linking to that -- I hadn't seen that post before. It's always interesting to see a play that's correct but not at all obvious. I'm sure I've folded in that situation (against that type of player) many times in the past.

I also think it's an interesting aspect of limit hold 'em that something that happens only 1/16th will still add 3 outs of value to a hand, flipping a fold to a call. In NL, Mr. AQ just bets half the pot and you're out of there.
