UTG limps, Poster checks, I raise A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button and they call Flop is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to me, I bet and they call Turn is 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Checked to me again, I bet again (right?), only UTG calls River is 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG bets, what's your action? |

Usually when a player donks a river like this he at least has a pair and thinks that the flush card is going to keep him from getting raised. He played this hand like he has a small pair or a flush draw so I vot for a fold on this river. Unless he is a know bluffer of course.

Turn bet is a must, definitely don't question that. I would call the river. It seems to me like his bet is either a pair of 4s/6s flush draw or bluff. A flush draw might make a play for the pot on the flop or turn, or checkraise the river. Most players in that game would check/call a pair on that river I think. So basically I think his range has a lot of overcard bluffs in it and thus I would call. It might be close i dunno. If you know he's at all decent or passive then fold.
