Re: KK hand
I'm done after an A hits on the flop, with two other players in.
I'm *definitely* done after a Q hits on the turn. What exactly are you hoping to beat here? |

Re: KK hand
I fold the river. Your line up until then is fine, but on the river he's not betting with anything you can beat. He checks behind all worse hands except for a pure bluff, and he almost certainly bets the turn and/or river harder on a bluff.

Re: KK hand
I agree with Everett. He checks this river with something like KQ almost everytime since he is probably afraid of the Ace after you call him on the turn.
Leading out on this flop is not a bad idea.I probably lead out and shut down to any call. You lose less money this way when you are beat. |

[/ QUOTE ] I like this line - leading the flop to define your hand, then when called behind you can go in to check/fold or check/call if the bet is small enough. I'll either lead the flop or baring that I'll lead the turn. After you've checked the flop, If you're going to call ~600 on the turn I'd rather make a stab of that size or slightly larger to try to define my hand more - just calling here you've gained no information. Basic idea of small, lightly contested pots still in play at this point - against two players with an ace on the flop its time to look for reasons to get away |

Re: KK hand
[ QUOTE ]
I fold the river. [/ QUOTE ] Given how weakly the villain played this hand do you not think there's at least a 20% chance that he has a Q or middle pair? I don't think it's a bad line at all, through the river (because of the odds you're getting on the call). I think raising the turn will only get called by an Ace whereas calling and seeing the river might get you paid off a little more from a hand you're ahead of. |

Re: KK hand
Lead the flop, for the reasons previously stated.
