On Monitors
I find a lot of you sprining for the 2001FP from Dell because you can four table without overlap. I also found a post today saying 400 dollar 2005FP which can only do 1680x1050 (or whatever it is).
I just want to throw a heads up to some of you who might not know. When hooking your monitor up as a second monitor. For instance I use it in conjunction with my laptop. So long as you do not "Hide settings out of range" (or something like that) you can adjust MOST 17" and up monitors LCD or CRT to the 1650x1050 setting. Which gives no horizantal overlap, and forces you to hide the chat boxes off the screen. Now I say most monitors, which may be incorrect, as I have only done it with 3. However, these were the only three I have tried it on, and they are all 4+ years old. The LCD is newer, but still only 17 inches. You may want to try this cheaper solution out first, as it will be less costly. I don't know if it works with Desktops, but it worked with my laptop. |

Re: On Monitors
Running higher resolutions on small monitors looks and feels totally nasty.
