nope, bet for value. they'll usually call with almost everything they raised preflop with.

No.
His flop check could be a lot of things. Lots of hands in his range are overpairs. You need to be betting this for value every time. |

Sometimes if the table is really thight, i just cold-call the flop. |

I don't think that you can check this flop. You need to be betting for value here.
Also, when a player does something like this I am sure to note it. |
