flop check with JJ
I had JJ in the cutoff in an online 30 60 game. It was folded to me. I openraised and was called only by the big blind.
The flop came Ace-Queen-Ten rainbow. The big blind checked, and I checked. Comments? |

Re: flop check with JJ
Sorry. This isn't a terrible check, by any means. You can check/call this all the way down without much fear of letting him draw to a better hand. I usually bet and then check the turn, figuring I save .5BBs by doing so.

Re: flop check with JJ
So long as you'll call if he bets the turn thats good. You are inducing a bluff?

Re: flop check with JJ
I'm definitely not folding this one, no matter what comes.
My plan was to save money in case he had me beat, and to possibly win something if I was ahead. |

Re: flop check with JJ
I don't understand checking this flop. Are you worried about getting outplayed? If I were BB and determined to outplay a PFR, I'd wait for a better spot than when the board is A Q T rainbow! So I'd bet, if he c/rs, I'd call and fold turn UI. If he calls I'd bet turn and check river UI. If he ever decides to donk, I fold. But maybe I'm weak/tight.
