Best tournaments for my bankroll?

Just put $120 in Stars and wanted some advice on what kind of tournaments I should be looking at with my bankroll, I am presuming I should look at the small $5 SNGs and the $1-$5 MTT's until I get up higher and look for bigger buy ins?

That is about right. SNG require somewhere between 30-50 times the buyin. You are a little short for $5 sng, but I wouldn't worry about it as they are usually pretty soft. You got the right idea, so get to grindin' those SNGs.

You have plenty of BR for $1/3 MTT. If you are intent on never buying in again, I would avoid the $5. The variance can be tremendous in MTT and I am not sure 25 times the buyin is adequate to survive the inevitable swings of fortune.

You are critically under rolled for the $5 SnGs, and it'll only take a weekendlong bad streak (and believe me, they happen) to wipe you out.

If you don't considered re-depositing I would suggest the $1.20 5-table SnGs (not the turbos) ... the play is so poor, that it makes up for the high rake. You'll learn a lot, and have a decent chance of increasing your bank roll.

The $10 SNGs are where you want to be ... And there's no difference in the level of play.

If you can afford to go broke and redeposit then I'd go to the $10 level.

For those who have played the 5-table SNGs, what are they like? Seems like you'd be better of playing a 1-table $5, than a 5-table, $1.

1,2,3 $ mtt's, and the $1.20 45 person SnG's they fill up fast, , and are terrbile.
