where's the choice for 'all in'?

If for some reason, a complete disaster happened in level 1, or earlier in level 2 (my set loses to someone who calls a 3x pot bet with a flush draw), and I am left with less than 200 chips, I push all-in. Else, fold. If you have 700-750 chips, why risk 90 (and potentially more if you hit the flop) in a marginal situation in level 2 to try to pick up 45 in blinds? STTs are won from your fold equity when the blinds are 50-100 and higher, and 45 chips means virtually nothing at that point. It is better to fold and guarantee that you'll have a 600+ stack when the blinds are 50-100. Save these types of steals for cash games, when your opponents are tight and you play much better than they do.

I haven't acknowledged the possibility of limping here. Limping seems just as bad to me as trying to steal. You are risking part of your stack for what will most likely be a small pot.
