Default 8 tables - Inspiron 9300 issue

Hi, have a Dell Inspiron 9300 & wanted to move to 8 tables so bought Dell 2001 FP.

Issue is that I am a total techno-fish and have no idea to get it set up properly for 8 tables.

Currently by using 'Function' F8 I can just tab between 2001FP only, 9300 only and both, but when I'm on both screens the 2001FP is just the same as my 9300 screen, hence 4 tables only.

I think I need to basically split my desktop over both screens?? Can anyone help me out?

Don't use the Func+F8 thing, that's just used when you want to use an external monitor instead of the laptop screen. To get your other monitor working, plug it in to the laptop and start Windows. Right-click on the desktop somewhere and choose Properties. Go to the Settings tab. You should see 2 displays there. Click on 2 and check the box below that says something like "Extend my desktop onto this monitor". You can also change the monitor's resolution and color depth here. That should get you started.
