I rarely slowplay anything but I fould myself wanting to here...is this a reasonable spot for this?

How much would you bet on the river?

i usually lead out here because if you take your line, it screams A, with your line I would lead the river for 15. RR preflop

I don't like slowplaying here. You have a monster hand, and your leaving money on the table.

Bet/bet/bet is usually my line here. You lost some money here I think.

Easy raise PF. Bet the flop, check the turn, bet the river if you feel like playing it a little slower. Bet, bet, bet if you think they will call.

You're almost certainly ahead on the flop. The reraise pf will push out other weak aces, hopefully. The problem is that some will stay on with A7, but very few. Of course, if you're dealing with someone who will cold call with 7s, you're going to be in trouble, but again, that is rare.

The problem with slowplaying the turn or river is that you give someone with AJ or AQ who sticks around the chance to hit a longshot without making it expensive for them. You may have let A9 or AT catch up, too.

Thanks for the responses.

By not raising preflop, I was thinking that I didn't want to play a large pot OOP. However, against this villain I can see why a reraise here would have been better.

I really don't know what I was thinking on this flop. I guess I was really expecting villain to make a continuation bet but I didn't even really have a plan from there. I definately should have bet this flop.

Like I said, my game needs work.

Anyway villain called the $20 and had A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and MHIG.

Ok you gave us the result, but i promise you that you would win a bigger pot if you bet the flop and checkraise the turn.

I dont mind the call preflop, you're not looking to get it all in PF with slick.

Bet the flop, call raise, C/R turn, play a big pot.
