downswings affect the way you play.

A huge part of huge downswings is attributed to playing like a huge vagina.

I had 2 big concurrent downswings at the beginning of septmeber, and I finally caught myself last night, playing a couple points too LAG preflop, and a bit too loose, passive, and sneaky postflop. The end result being a nice 40k hand 1.4 BB/100 stretch at 3/6 6max.

Whether, and by what measure you succeed at poker is entirely up to you. Don't fool yourself into thinking every extended loss is a result of bad cards; it is almost always compounded by bad play.
