1st hand. I'd have folded 6th. Seat 1, even if he is a maniac, likely has a pair in the hole. In which case you're looking to catch a king or jack on the river. Of which, only 1 king and 2 jacks are live (and probably one of the jacks is in the other guys hand). The raise on sixth just seems wasteful...

Take the following noob advice with a grain of salt. (I've never played higher than 2/4)


Hand #1 - Damn I don't know, you did everything right on 3rd IMHO, but I just can't read maniacs.

I like the river decision though.

Hand #2 - I don't like the check raise on 4th for 2 reasons:

1) 4 to a flush when it doesn't come in is a bitch
2) You're not going to push the people you want out out.

Not sure about 5th either, not because of the paired door card, but because bets are double and for the reaosns above.

Just my 2c.

Hand #3 - Hate the 3rd st play, it's a definite complete here and you know it Beer! (are you tilting?)

Hand #4 - Love the 3rd st play here, hate your callers though, you must've felt sick when you watched what happened.

Hand #5 - complete on 3rd st. (seat 3 would've helped get it heads up and you'll win 2/3 times IIRC - but you know this, again) [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Hand #6 - no complete again after an Ace folds, Beer why?

SDM, 2 things.

1.) I was limp reraising cause I knew I had the best hand and wanted to build a big pot against these yahoos.

2.) Not pumping multiway pots with four flushes is a big mistake.

I guess I just found the hands humorous, i wasn't as much concerned about the strategy involved. I think I overplayed one or two of the hands, but otherwise I did fine.

I would have liked to have won a few of the pots, that's all.

I guess you can see one fault with my game.

Where you will take a 'higher variance' for 'higher profits' I don't have the guts & balls for that.

Perhaps it's a leftover from my 'rock' days and something I'll have to work on, in Hold'em I pump 4 flushes, in Stud I'm very reluctant.

You should be more willing to do it the other way around. Pump them up in stud, and more reluctant in hold em if it doesn't get you a free card.
