When reviewing a hand (click on the HH #) there is a button on top that says "Playback this hand". Hit that and you can play a hand back.

If you want to review a whole session click on the session tab, select the session you want. In the section with the hand's scroll to the bottom and select that hand and then hit the playback button. Use the arrows at the top left of the re-player to scroll trhough hands.

Same reason most of us would rather watch a movie than read a book.

I think it's slower than scanning through the document and I could care less about how pretty it is. But that's me.
