How would you play pocket Js against 6 opponents?
9 players, NLHE, $0.25/$0.50 blinds. Mostly a loose set of players, but a couple tighter. Don't remember the exact sequence, but I get pocket Jacks in the BB. UTG+2 raises to $2. Sixth player raises to $4. By the time it gets around to me it's $8. 6 other players are in this pot with two more to act after me.
Do you call, raise or fold? Why? |

Stack sizes are very important here.

Re: How would you play pocket Js against 6 opponents?
You have to know stack sizes and the exact sequence here to give a proper answer. If one of the minraisers is shortstacked and is likely to push, I'm folding. You need some reads here to give us info as to whether or not you think the betting is going to stop at $8. If it stops at $8, you should probably play according to the 5-10 rule and play for set value. This can be a fold here more often than one might think, IMO.

How can you vote fold here? [/ QUOTE ]Because your call doesn't close the betting. No guarantee you get to see a flop for your money... |

Stack sizes as I can recall them: 1 player was all in by the time the betting got to me. Two others were short stacked to where they wouldn't be able to call another raise. At least three others had 2x-3x the size of the bet in their stacks left. My stack was approximately 2x the bet when it came around to me.
