Default Bush Urges Americans to Conserve Gas

In other news, Jose Canseco tells Americans not to use steriods and Gene Simmons advises people to abstain from sex.

Wouldn't you think that the POTM would generate more than 2 replies in the first 3 hours of its existence?

Maybe because liberals have nothing to add to the OP and conservatives know they have no leg to stand on?

What a crappy analogy. You could at least change Jose Canseco to BALCO and Gene Simmons to... whoever makes Smirnoff Ice?

Or it is like limousine liberals like Arianna Huffington riding around in SUV's while equating their use to terrorism. Gotta like people who don't practice what they preach.

BALCO would be more like the White House or United States Government in this example.

Your Smirnoff example is also rediculous. They don't use sex in any way.

The theme of the analogy is people who use/do a lot of something and then tell others not to do it.

President Bush guzzles gas, then tells others not to do so. This would be analagous to Canseco, a known steriod user telling people not to use steriods or Simmons, a known womanizer telling people not to have sex. Get it?

You must not have done well on the analogy section of your SAT verbal.

So you're saying that Bush uses too much gasoline? That's just silly. You think he and 5 secret service guys should pack into a Prius and drive cross-country every time he needs to go somewhere? A better criticism would be to harp on his links to oil companies, which is where my analogies are better.
