Heads up play
Just finished a 20+2 sit and go that took ages to finish so the blinds were 300-600 by the time we got heads up. My opponent was pushing all in every time from the button. He had done it at least 6/7 times in a row and we both hand equal stacks over 6000 each. What kind of hands should I be calling him with. This is something I encounter a lot at this level and its usually easy to deal with but with the blinds so high if a few hads go against you it really weakens your stack and its tough to recover.

Re: Heads up play
If he's pushing: 22+,A2+,K2+,Q2s+,Q6o+,J7s+,J9o+,T8s+,98s You're calling: 33+,A2+,K9o+,K8s+,QTs+ If he's pushing ANY TWO You're calling: 22+,A2+,K2+,Q3o+,Q2s+,J7o+,J3s+,T8o+,T6s+,98o,97s+ Did I mention I just bought "the tool"? |

Any Ace, any pair, big kings if he keeps going.

Re: Heads up play
You always have to adapt to the player you are up against. But in this instance I would be calling 22+,A2+,K9o+,K8s+,QTo+,JTs+ and gradually loosening this up as my chipstack declines relative to the blind levels.

Re: Heads up play
another important point not mentioned in any of the responses: if you're opponent is pushing a lot with the button, you need to not only need to widen your calling range, you need to be pushing alot often. if you get passive when you've got the button, you're playing right into his hand.
