Default Turn trip aces weak kicker in unraised pot, possible draws

sb had only been at the table for two orbits and I had no previous notes on him, he had not done anything donkish yet.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) converter

UTG ($40.85)
MP ($102.85)
CO ($91.20)
Button ($202.70)
SB ($189.63)
Hero ($137.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO calls $1, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB (poster) completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($3) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $3</font>, CO folds, SB calls $3.

Turn: ($9) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $8</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $16</font>, Hero ?

does anyone think I should reraise here to protect agaist a possible draw which I thought was unlikely to check-minraise (but I could easily see him not believing I have an ace so it might be possible?) or just play it as way ahead way behind at this point?

You cannot possibly check that turn? Lets any flush draw in for cheap, and allowing anybody to bluff at you, not having a clue where you are in the hand...

Bah, didn't see the flush draw. Good bet. But as it goes, I would still probably fold this. You are playing for a split pot at best. Fear the minraise. He is def. not semi-bluffing here.

But yeah, good turn bet.
