i hate the sports media. thats nothing new. with so much football coverage among us, and the baseball playoffs approaching (which will bring out the biggest clowns around) i thought we should have a place to post the most idiotic statements/questions we hear. i will start by submitting this piece:

pregame in baltimore, UPN38 interviewer (who was it, i forget. someone post please) asks terry francona:

"terry, would you say the teams goal over the next ten games is to win as many as possible?"

then in go to the store and get to hear this exchange on EEI between trupiano and castiglione:

C: kind of warm, considering its the start or autumn
Trup: i thought i saw on the caleneder it just turned into fall this week joe

strange silence

C: they are the same jerry

This isn't restricted to the media. After the Yankees got rid of Ruben Sierra the first time, Sierra complained about Torre, "All he cares about is winning."
