Home Tourney Blind Rules
We have arguements over the best rules for dealing with blinds when players get knocked out. How does anyone deal with this issue in home tournies?

[/ QUOTE ] Blinds should be pre-determined, and go up during regularly scheduled intervals. Raising the blinds just because someone gets eliminated is generally not a good idea. I would suggest posting a blind schedule on the wall, in clear view of all players. Make sure all players familiarize themselves with it beforehand. |

Re: Home Tourney Blind Rules
Ah, it appears I misunderstood the OP.
To answer this question *correctly*, I would direct you to HomePokerTourney.com. They have an entire section explaining missed blinds. Basically, each player needs to post one small blind and one big blind for each orbit. Sometimes a player will be big blind by himself, causing another player to deal twice. |

Re: Home Tourney Blind Rules
If the player who was to be the small blind is eliminated, there is no small blind for the following hand. The first player on the dealer's left is the big blind.
The dealer will deal twice in a row (as if the empty seat is the dealer on the second hand). On the second hand, the first player to the dealer's left is the small blind, the second is the big blind...as normal. If the player who was going to be the big blind is eliminated, small and big blinds are posted as normal. |

Re: Home Tourney Blind Rules
Use a "dead button" in tournaments. There can be a missing small blind but never a missing big blind.
