Varkoni won some small tournament later in 2002. I don't know why it's not on the database.

Varkoni isn't a pro. He plays recreationally.

With all the exposure tournaments have had, it should be readily apparent that there is a large luck factor, and that those that play more win more. Since there's no way to know how many tournaments people are entering, there's really no way to know whether the repeat winners are even ahead.

Evelyn does not have 2 million plus the recognizition of being a world champion. She is just another attractive female poker player. Wake me up when she final tables a huge event.

Hate these, but FYP.

30-40 player tournaments do not qualify as a "final table" to most.

And I'd take Varkonyi vs her anyways, and I don't think lots of his game.

Varkonyi was never very big on poker, I read somewhere that the real player is his wife and she got him into the game. Im also pretty sure Varkonyi didnt quit his job and play the curcuit which might be a reason why you dont see any other big tournament cashes.. he has always been a recreational player

There was a documentary called Poker Kings that came out a couple years ago and it showed Varkonyi looking for work AFTER he won his WSOP bracelet.
