Default Call overbet with 2 pair?

Was wondering what the usual strategy is, when faced with a massive overbet in the end, when you are holding a medium hand like 2 pair. Here's the hand. Comments on all streets appreciated.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (8 handed) converter

SB ($7.65)
Hero ($49.90)
UTG ($7.75)
UTG+1 ($18.40)
MP1 ($26.35)
MP2 ($55.79)
CO ($94.50)
Button ($28.85)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero checks.

Flop: ($1.10) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $0.65</font>, UTG folds, MP2 folds, CO calls $0.65.

Turn: ($2.40) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $2.3</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $5</font>, Hero calls $2.70.

River: ($12.40) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, CO calls $88.60 (All-In), Hero calls $44 (All-In).

Final Pot: $145

I will preface by saying I am new to online nl, but live I really can't see calling here. the min raise on the turn indicates he has a part of it, and after the ace falls, you're not beating enough hands to call IMO when facing that bet. I'd figure he has straight/set/better 2pair here far more often than he has a ten or an ace.

Lead the river for 6, and fold a raise. He likely has a str8 or set here.

Fold to the overbet.

Easy fold, massive overbets like these are very rarely not a very big hand.

Blocking bet as fuzzbox recommended a good idea.

Your flop bet is just asking for trouble.

Flop bet is really ugly, why give someone 3:1 when you have such a marginal hand. YOu are going to get called by all sorts of things.

The turn is ok, I am beginning to think my hand may not be good at this point though.

On the river it seems really clear you are beat, at this level it seems like people make overbets with only their best hands. Blocking bet as suggested by others is a great way to play the river though. If he moves in you just fold.

Ugh, check/fold the flop. You have a rag hand, and if you think it's best, bet more on the flop.
