If you don't get to hear it, you won't have missed much. There was very little discussion of the play of the hands, in fact, they missed quite a few. The main thread for the tournament has a lot of comments about it. It was painful to listen to.

It was mainly Barry Greenstein interrupting Fossilman and bloviating about how he plays the biggest cash games. You didn't miss anything.

Surprised you felt this way.

I really didn't need any announcer telling me 'there's a raise...and now a fold.'
Besides...the significant delay with the audio made it kind of annoying I thought (assuming I wasn't the only one that experienced a delay in the audio a good 30-60 seconds behind the play at the table).

I thought the conversation between Barry and Greg on anything and everything in big tournament-poker and big cash-games was VERY interesting.

I stayed up through the whole thing just to listen to them gab and discuss poker. I really didn't care who won the event.

I hardly thought it was painful to listen to.
It was some really good stuff.

I agree. And i did the same, staying up through the whole thing.

Although, i do understand what people are talking about with the hints of arrogance. So what?

I find myself horribly excited to hear poker talk, let alone until the wee hours of the morning.

Barry Greenstein is a genius. I could listen to the guy talk about poker all day. I also found it to be quite a treat.

A genius but his personality is crap... i appreciate his skill/smarts.. but anyone that openly arrogant and condensending gets on my nerves incredibly fast.

Him and douch-ey berkowitz should tone it down.

Part of being a player that caliber is to be able to honestly evaluate everyone at the table including one's self. There is a difference between arrogance and confidence, and it is often very subtle.

Yes, there is a difference...

Raymer is confident... Greenstein was arrogant.

I'm not saying Raymer is on the same level as him, but the way they carry themselves would make me far more likely to listen to Raymer speak about poker.
