Default Stupid NFL Ticket/DirecTV question

I am stuck with only the 49er-Eagle and Carolina-Pats (very good game, however) games this morning.

For NFL ticket, etc do you have to get DirectTV? I like my cable provider and don't want direct tv, is there any way to still get all the games?

(btw, i have not done 1 second searching, you guys are easier)

I just can't believe that its more profitable for all parties involved to shut out every potential customer that doesn't have DirecTV. TMQ wrote about this a little while ago, but there are thousands out there who couldn't get DirecTV even if they wanted to, not to mention those of us who would instantly sign up if we didn't have to switch from cable.

You don't have to switch. You can get both if you want to pay for it.

It is more profitable for the NFL and that is all that matters.

There are very few people who other than cost cannot get DTV. There is an FCC regulation requiring apartment complexes to allow you to put up a dish on non-common property. A different portion of the same FCC reg requires homeowners associations to allow you to place a dish or antenna on your solely owned non-common property.

Unless you live on the wrong side of a mountain or are facing the wrong direction on a low story apt or condo complex you should be able to get DTV.

it's the big thing that keeps DTV profitable (i.e. around at all) and should be pretty easy to get unless you're in some weird place or too dumb to point a dish at the sky (you'd be surprised)

the package is sweet, though, if you don't mind the blackout stuff.
