Default Another nano hand from last night

This one I think I might have butchered. Gorv has been cold decked so far, and I definately respect this preflop raise.

Disclaimer: my weakness is my blind play. But don't pull any punches. My skin is as thick as ever.

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Greg is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 (Gorvad) raises, 6 folds, Greg calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Greg checks, Gorvad bets, Greg calls.

I'm planning a turn checkraise...

Turn: (3.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Greg checks, Gorvad checks.

...that totally wiffs.

River: (3.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Greg bets, Gorvad calls.

Final Pot: 5.25 BB

Comments on all streets appreciated.

PF is meh, i'm not defending A2o, especially against an EP raise.

I'm not for a turn C/R, if he is gonna bet again and not take a free card, he probably has either a good ace, a high PP, or maybe a J (specifically KJs). If he'd bet, I'd rather C/C than C/R.

I like the river bet.

As such, I don't really like preflop. If I am calling I think I'm doing the WA/WB thing.

River is good, though I think it is bet/fold for met.

I like it. Sometimes I don't defend preflop though but only with reads.

I like your avatar even more.

I'd fold preflop against a tight UTG raise, precisely because if you get a good flop like this you're still screwed. I think this is worth a c/c/c/c/c/c/c/c. I like the river bet after he checks the turn behind, which really surprised me too.

Preflop really really sucks. Rest of the hand is about as standard as it comes. If you had checkraised the turn, like you intended, though, it would have been about as bad as your preflop play.

I would give some consideration to checkraising the river but without knowing villain a bet is the safe route.

In thinking about this hand, I think you are totally right. I am just looking for confirmation. Thanks all for commenting. I did play this pretty badly.

What is the worst hand you guys call from in this position? What if I were suited? 22? 66? Seriously, I have have said for a while that my leak is my play from the blinds.

This hand post was intended to help me fix this leak -- and I don't care how much bad play I show in the process. My blind play is, I think, costing me at least a bb/100. I have considered a poker coach for just this reason (in a perfect world we would all have one).

I think there is an example in SSHE from preflop where they say you fold A9o in a heart beat from an EP raise. In a HU situation I don't think whether your cards are suited are not really changes much, though I could be wrong. I fold AJo here though that could also be wrong.

I would really like to hear what someone who knows what their talking about thinks, or if anyone knows of any good threads on this subject. In the SS forum last week there was a similar question where you have KJs and face a raise from UTG+2 or MP1 I think, and most everyone said call, but said they would fold KJo I think.
