Default Beginners games on party

What's up with these "beginners" games? I've noticed them on Party poker, but haven't tried to get on. They have games at limits from .50/$1 all the way up to 20/40 or higher. Who can get on them? Can you not qualify as a "beginner" and be prevented from earning $$ there? Can you only play so many hands? I have no idea. I just saw the listing at some point, but haven't got a clue what they are for. Any info on these?

Your account has to be less than 45 days old to be able to play on them.

Also, they don't have 20/40. The highest limit games in the beginners rooms (as of last time I checked, yesterday) was 1/2. The lowest was, I believe, .15/.30.

I signed up with party over the summer and those beginner tables were a god send. I just wish I could keep playing on them. At 1/2 it wasn't uncommon to see average pots get over $30 with about 6-8 people seeing every flop.

Last time I checked they had $3/$6, maybe higher (don't remember).

The beginners section sure makes table selection easy!

They sound more like aquariums than poker tables.

The highest limits they have are $1/$2. I'm on them currently and they are super money. 4 tables for 2-3 hours will usually yield around $100-$300.

Yeah. But the variance is a bitch. Four people to the river will do that.
