Best cardrooms in Canada?
I've been thinking about moving to Canada before Bush declares himself King and puts up a giant wall. I love the B.C. area, and was curious if anyone knows of a great city for cardrooms anywhere in Canada?

Re: Best cardrooms in Canada?
Alberta has quite a large number of casinos with poker rooms (aparently it's the 2nd oldest jurisdiction in North America to legalize gambling.) Calgary has 2 really good rooms, one at the Elbow River casino downtown and another at Casino Calgary. There are a couple of other more divey casinos. Edmonton has 3 good poker rooms that I know of, Palace Casino in West Edmonton mall, Casino Yellowhead and Casino Edmonton.

In Soutern Ontario, Brantford has limit games from 2-5 to 20-40. Niagara Falls has 2 cardrooms in Canada and 1 in Niagara Falls NY. These rooms have limit hold em games up to 10-20 and good N/L action up to 25-50 with lots of action. Both Brantford and Niagara Falls are about 1 hour from Toronto.

Re: Best cardrooms in Canada?
You have to be 19 in B.C.
Greater Vancouver has 5 cardrooms I believe. The biggest is the River Rock with 25 tables which has limit from 2-4 up to 30-60 and no-limit from 1-2 to 3-6. Also runs small daily tournaments and bigger tournaments twice a week. |

Legal age is 19 in Ontario. Niagara is said to have the easiest games in Canada.

Re: Best cardrooms in Canada?
I just got back from Vancouver, B.C., and I played at Edgewater. There were four tables, and on the Tuesday night I was there the list was 27 players long.
Me thinks they need more poker tables. |

I'm in Montreal, and I have no idea where the card rooms are, or if any exist at all.
