Re: Amazon review of HOH by Bobby Baldwin...
Sounds about right for it to be "The Real Bobby Baldwin."
Pretty intense review. |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't know Bobby Baldwin from Adam, but I can assume that based on his position and accomplishments he's reasonably intelligent, and therefore if he wanted to review DH's book he'd be smart enough to get a "real name" tag on his amazon review account. There are many people who impersonate poker pros on amazon for some reason - do a search for poker books and often youll find in the "lists" section on the right hand side a bunch of lists along the lines of "Read these to find out how I win at poker, by Doyle Brunson" or "So You Want to Win the WSOP, by Chris Moneymaker". Also, I don't know if the CEO of Bellagio would be likely to recommend a book titled "How to Gamble at the Casinos Without Getting Plucked Like a Chicken." *edit: also, if you look at his other review (of the "Plucked by a Chicken" book, strangely enough), there are other oddities: for example, capitalization of some phrases which aren't ordinarily capitalized (eg "Gambling Industry" and "House Advantage"), not to mention the more obvious fact that he's writing a review endorsing a book that tells people which games should be avoided at the casino he runs and which can be beaten. I think 20% might be generous here. |

Hi David:
I make it zero percent that it's him because there are a number of reviews of different books under different names that also promote the "plucked liked a chicken" book. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Amazon review of HOH by Bobby Baldwin...
I'm having trouble picturing Bobby Baldwin taking time out of his day to write a book review on Amazon. You'd think if he was willing to bother with a review, we would be reading it on the cover of the book itself.

Re: Amazon review of HOH by Bobby Baldwin...
Ive seen one or two reviews from someone called Chris moneymaker there too, praising Cloutiers ChampionshipNo limit and pot limit holdem: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/cus...views.start=11
Reviewer: Chris Moneymaker (LAS VEGAS, NV) - See all my reviews This is the #1 Book On Tournament Poker. I'm a decent player and following TJ's strategy in this book Get Top 20 out of nearly every tournament I enter regardless of the field. Don't miss out and not buy this book, If you play poker you MUST buy it. It will make you a better player beyond anything you ever imagined. |
