Default Out of line?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed) converter

UTG ($47.15)
UTG+1 ($12)
MP1 ($24.35)
MP2 ($28.15)
MP3 ($19.65)
Hero ($25)
Button ($23.95)
SB ($74.85)
BB ($29.55)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.25. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero (poster) checks, Button raises to $0.5, SB (poster) calls $0.40, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25.

Flop: ($2.25) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $1.5, Button raises to $2.75, SB folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls $1.25.

Turn: ($8) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $5, Hero calls $5.

River: ($18) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero pushes for $16.75

I don't like my river play. AQ calls and beats me. 77-JJ fold. I suppose this would be a good play if I put him on KQ or QJ.

Dont limp it preflop, dont call the raise with it preflop, dont bet it on the flop, dont call the flop raise, dont call the turn bet and dont push the river.

Other than that ... it looks fine.

Fold the turn, and a case can be made for folding to the flop raise.

Everything about this play is bad, including the fact that you post in the CO. The only thing I like is the lead-out on the flop.

EDIT: Stick to tournament strategy for now. This play screams 'tourney player'.

opportunity cost, i lose out on playing around 8 hands, usually with table selection i'd much rather be in there to play those 8 hands and win some pots, then waiting for the BB just to watch a fish bust.

the more hands i play the more money i win.

but, i don't post anywhere other than co, or lp

Yeah,
1.) you definitely want to work on your starting hands. Q9 off is hardly worth playing anwhere besides SB or BB unless you are a really good player post flop.
2.) I don't see any reason to post. Wait for the BB.
3.) This hand can't call a raise (unless you are great post flop and think you can outplay the raiser i.e. Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu)
4.) Leading out on the flop is fine. The raise is weak so I'm not entirely sure what I do here...most likely fold because even if you call you will most likely have to check the turn to him and call another bet. I may call if I have position on him but it is still questionable.
5.) No reason at all to call this $5 bet. This just further confirms that he's got you beat.
6.) Pushing here is just silly IMO. You're betting 16 to win 34. You need to win this 1 out of 3 times to make this play profitable. As I see it, I put him on AQ 2 out of 3 times so you'll break even at best. BUT...the times he has KQ or QJ he may even call your bet since it's not anything TOO scary ($16 into an $18 pot). So that should make your odds of winning something like 1:4 or 5. This is just the odds I would think of very quickly if I were to consider this move. Of course there are other hands he COULD have that he would fold to that bet but I have to put him on at LEAST top pair good kicker so I think my estimate should be accurate.
