I don't really like it because this one seems to fall under the theory that you want a lot of people in the hand with your drawing hands, especially since there is a dead Ace so you aren't likely to make aces or better here.

It would have been better if you had the ace as your doorcard. It's not horrible, but not a great completion either.

I've seen worse, but I'd be more likely to make this raise if the ante were larger.

with a dead Ace and two dead [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]?

I think you should limp here. I like completing if my clubs are totally live and there is no dead ace.

really? That tight? I made the completion and immediately didn't like it, but I never considered folding.

How would you play if ::
-2 dead clubs, live Ace
-1 dead club, 1 burned Ace
-I'm gonna assume you raise the other scenarios

It really depends on how tight/loose/passive/aggressive the table is.
In any case though, I hate playing semi-dead flush draws in early position. Granted, sometimes the whole table will limp behind you which is great. But more often you end up calling a completion and then every time you miss on 4th you’ll have to make a very close decision. I guess I just hate those 4th street situations where, basically, both options suck, and try to avoid them.

I like it better, but not a lot.

I limp every time.

I still usually limp. A seven and a nine aren’t all that great. Getting heads-up with the queen or something is okay, but I like multi-way better.

This is a call. Two clubs are gone as well as an Ace. Also, the ante is small. Folding is too tight, in my opinion, unless it's a tough game, and why play in a tough $5/10 stud game?
