HoH 1 for ring games
As the strategy in HoH 1 revolves around the early stages of the tournament and players have high Ms is the strategy used in the book useful for NL ring games-excluding of course such things like the Gap Concept which are specific to tournaments. I know that the chapter on Pot Odds and Hand Analysis can obviously be applied to any hold'em game but is the strategy outlined in Betting Before/After the Flop and Betting on Fourth and Fifth Street optimal for cash games of would I be better off consulting another source such as 21C HE for ring games (to read both would be best of course but I just wanted to compare HoH with other books that are more specific the ring game format).

Re: HoH 1 for ring games
The Gap Concept isn't exclusive to tourneys.
In my limited experience, you tend to get more action and a little more aggression in ring games if you compare to tourney games at, say, low/middle blinds. Not sure there's any better books on NLHE, though. |
