Do you have the Ten of clubs?

Are these players agressive?

Figure out your effective odds for a calldown on each hand and make an estimate.

Don't fold the second one, he could just have a worse ace! (You didn't provide a read). Unfortunately A9s is a likely candidate.

Hand 1:
Unless you have the T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and a redraw to the flush, I would be inclined to fold to the turn check/raise. It looks as though SB has made his flush draw.

Hand 2:
I would call down. If UTG has Ax, there is a good chance that your hand is best. UTG would probably have raised preflop with AK or AQ. You are behind to AJ,A9 or A7, but ahead of any other A that UTG may have. (You also have outs to outdraw A9 or A7).

I don't mind the fold in hand number 1. There is no way I'm letting go of hand number 2 though.

I have to disagree with the prevoius posters. Even if I assume we don't hold T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in hand 1 I think that hand one is closr to a calldown than hand 2 (I also assume we don't have no reads).

The main reason for me disagreeing is the answer to this question:
In which hand is villain most likely to raise the turn as a bluff/semi-bluff?

Answer: Villain is much more likely to bluff in hand 1. First, he might raise as a semi-bluff, holding a hand like A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]x. Second, hero raised preflop. In hand 1 the board gets scary on the turn and since it's 8-high so it isn't likely to have helped Hero since he raised preflop.

In hand 2 hero raised preflop. There's an A and a Q on the board which is likely to have helped hero's hand, yet villain decides to check/raise. I think we're often drawing dead/slim. An average 1/2 crypto players will often limp AQ/AJ UTG. I fold this hand every time without a read. Even if we're only up against another A we're often outkicked. You're often in really bad shape, not often ahead.
EDIT: I don't think Ax check/raises this turn often.

That being said hand 1 is not an easy calldown. You're still behind pretty often and in contrary to hand 2 you'll get outdrawn prety often even if you're ahead on the turn. Still I think I would call down.
