how do you play these kind of hands?
suppose you are in a 15/30 game and hold QQ on the button. MP first to come in raises, everyone folds to you and you 3bet and blinds fold and MP calls. flop comes A/K/K. MP checks, you bet and he calls. how do you proceed on later streets??

Re: how do you play these kind of hands?
Bet the turn, fold to a raise. Generally the same on the river i'd say, although river bet is read dependant. Betting the turn is automatic for me.

Re: how do you play these kind of hands?
I wanna know where I am on the turn for 1 BB, otherwise I risk getting ckraised on a river value bet and having to pay 2 BB.

Re: how do you play these kind of hands?
check the turn and call or fold the river to a bet depending on how often i think i'm good. If villain checks the river, i bet if he's not very tricky and check if he is.

Check the turn, and maybe call a river bet.

You realize that to a lot of people your pre-flop 3 bet announces a pocket pair or AK. With an ace and two kings on the board it is more likely you missed than not. What I'm saying is that your "rote" strategy of betting the turn would prove very expensive (for you) against astute players. |

Re: how do you play these kind of hands?
The main concept here is that if you are ahead there is very little reason to bet the turn. If you are not ahead (and bet), you run the risk of being outplayed if you auto-fold to a c/r.

The main concept here is that if you are ahead there is very little reason to bet the turn. If you are not ahead (and bet), you run the risk of being outplayed if you auto-fold to a c/r. and you induce a bluff from a worse hand (possibly) on the river. [/ QUOTE ] that about covers it, nice post lestat. Barron |
