Default AKo pretty standard 10/20

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets, Hero calls, BB folds.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.25 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 7.25 BB

Opponent is 46/12/1.3 or so

With 2 diamonds on the board I really have to raise the flop take the freecard and call on the river right?

This board I would usually raise the flop and check the turn. THe painful part is when the bastard villain donks the turn - In a small pot I guess you have to fold.

With two overs plus a draw to the K high flush, no one should ever fold that turn.

Yes, raise the flop. Opponent could be betting a draw, and you might get BB to fold a weak pair.

If you had raised the flop, I think you should bet most turn cards as well, and take a free showdown. I don't like giving him a free card, if he is drawing, and also risking getting bluffed off the best hand on the river.

If the turn had been 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], I think you should probably call down, but folding the river in this case looks prudent.

If hero checks behind the turn it's so he can call a river bet on most safe cards and snap off a bluff. At 10/20 we will often be checkraised by a worse hand on the turn here, but not often enough to warrant calling down the c/r (unless the turn card brings us the FD, in which case we'd rather take the free card again so not to have to pay 2 BBs).

Hero will snap off many river bluffs with this line. It's one I like, especially vs very aggressive players(or unknowns.)

Eh, depends on the specific opponent. As you know, many 10/20ers will 3bet the flop and lead the turn with any piece of that board specifically not to give you a free card on the turn with overs. If he's one of those then calling is better, if not the free card play is better.

Oops, missed flush draw. Eh, I probably call it down anyway when I'm playing.

yeah, this is spot on.

i used to raise flops liek this 100% of the time but i was getting 3-bet so much that it was obvious it was not the best default play.
