Top Section LHE in LA Card Rooms - Variances in Play?

Soliciting feedback from players in LA in top section above 20 and up to 100. I only know so far the play at Commerce, and I know there are at least a few others out there spreading the same. So, two questions:

1. Is there a significant difference between 100 and the next one down (in Commerce, 40)?
2. Is there a significant difference between the games at the same levels in different rooms; if you lived next door to "x" would you still get in the car and drive over to play at "y" if both had the same game, no tourney time, no comps, etc.
