KJs -- strong draw played weakly
3-bet the flop for a free card? Raise the turn? Or is this ok?

Re: KJs -- strong draw played weakly
I ran this through pokerstove and put the villain on all 2pair combos, all sets, and both overpairs, as well as AQ (all hands he would seemingly play this way), and you are still ahead, although its damn near 50/50, so yes, raise for value as well as a possible free card if you so choose.
By the way, is this how all you mad geniuses go about figuring out the best plays when reviewing these hands? I'm new to the in-depth analyzing, just trying to get a good grip of it. |

Re: KJs -- strong draw played weakly
I'd threebet the flop, turn and river are ok imo

Re: KJs -- strong draw played weakly
The flop 3-bet is easy and basically free. You don't fear a cap, and a free card is really helpful when you need it.

Re: KJs -- strong draw played weakly
I love these super-draws. 3-bet the flop for value and for fold equity. I wouldn't take the free card though unless he was passive and straightforward enough that he will almost always have a queen here, or that he almost always has a pair and will never ever fold it. But against the typical 5/10 player I think you have some fold equity, so follow through with the turn bet. And given the turn card that did come, I would bet that every time.
Given your flop play, I like the line you took. |
