Default trips

bb seems likea loose passiveish type of player. 34/2/.88 through 38 hands. No previous pots played with him really.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

BB ($680.32)
UTG ($2322.25)
MP ($166.50)
CO ($743.67)
Hero ($950)
SB ($1339)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5.
UTG calls $10, 2 folds, Hero calls $10, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($40) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)

bb bets 20, utg folds, I make it 50, bb pushes, bk?

You sure about that? Not saying you're wrong, but it's not like Hero's kicker sucks.

I think he has an overpair or a worse 9 often enough to call. Also look at his PFR% if you want to care about those PT numbers.

Meh. I'm having doubts now.

fsu says insta call. I posted before I saw Villain had $680, ahem.

I don't really know tbh, let's see what the others have to say.

Do we agree that on a rainbow board we should fold this?

i think i call this. there is a small enough amount of money in play and you beat enough random 9s, combined with some chance that he is doing something ridiculous, that i think its worth putting your money in.

yeah I don't think that's very debatable. I often make this play with a boat when there's a possible flush/oesd draw out there against an opponent who will otherwise not play a big pot with just trips.

I lean towards calling this with no opponent history though.
