Default Huckleberry Seed

What does anyone know about this elusive character?

He seems to be the most enigmatic player out there. I wish I knew more about him and got to see him play a lot more.

My first ever WSOP event was the $3k NLHE on July 1.
I was seated right next to Huck seed for about 6 hours.

1 - he's pretty dry and pretty funny.

2 - trying to steal his blind is an exercise in futilty.
He's not afraid to play chicken with someone as green as me even if he's holding the nut-low.

3 - he's very observant. Making guesses as to what various players had even when he wasn't in the hand

It was a pretty fun experience overall.
My only other WSOP event was the main-event. I was at Johnny Chan's table for about 10 hours for that one. He was pretty fun to play with as well.
We both busted after the dinner-break on day 1 (he lasted about 10 minutes longer than I did)

He was just chatting with Evybabee (Evelyn Ng) on the Stars WCOOP event #4. He is Octane190.

Cool anecdote's. He's spoken-about as if he was the Phil Ivey of the mid-late 90's. He's just so d*mn enigmatic!

There's a little about him in Craig's The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King.

I thought he was pretty funny in his last PS II stage 1 qualifier match. He was mumbling funny things.

Out of curiosity, does he have siblings name Cotton, Caraway and Leif?

Serious question.

I find him entertaining in about the same way as I find Todd Brunson entertaining - and that is NOT an insult, as you can tell from my reply in the Todd Brunson thread - but I think both of these guys ARE unique in the poker world and do make for interesting poker TV.

Not sure about Cotton and Caraway but I've heard reference to Leif (I believe on Greenstein's website).

Something about Leif trying to jog from LA to Vegas only stopping to sleep twice. Leif got like 40 miles before hurting his achilles..or something.

Strange family for sure.

Greenstein has cool anecdote's about several players (most notably Ted Forrest).
