Default 3-table tourney, 3rd hand...

I'm trying to get an idea of how to play some hands where I've taken bad beats, but where my odds of winning were only around 50%.

3rd hand of the night in a PP 30+3 3-table tourney, blinds(obviously) still at 10/15. I get AK off in middle position, 3 callers in front. I raise to 60 and get 4 callers, with the guy right in front of me going all-in after previously just calling. I call, and then a guy right behind me calls as well.

What would you have done? Results in white:
First all-in has AJ off, guy behind me has A10 off. Flop has a 10 in it, idiot wins.

I'm not sure if I should be waiting for hands when I'm dominating someone, or if I should be willing to go all-in with even a slight advantage...
Thanks for any help.

The real answer is to lurk more (at least read the rules, the first of which prohibits bad beat posts) and provide more important information in your post, such as how big the pusher's stack was, for instance.

I did read the rules. There was no need to talk about stack size seeing as it was the 3rd hand of the tourney and everyone was around equal. I know it was a bad beat, but technically my odds were only 50% to win the hand. I'd like to know if anyone would have played it differently that early in the tourney.

Sigh. So you're saying that the only hands you're allowed to post here are hands where you've clearly made a mistake by being dominated, and then asking people obvious questions like "should i have folded?". Obviously I know I had the best hand, but the question I'm asking is whether or not it is smart to risk all of your chips early on with AK preflop. The results are only listed because I find it annoying to read someone's "what should I do" post and then not know what happened in their hand. Essentially, if you don't want it to be a bad beat post, don't read the white text. Is this too hard for everyone?

People dont post the results, because then there is an influx of people who base their *opinion* on the result of the hand, rather then the thought process behind your actions.

The results are essentially meaningless, yet they reduce some peoples analysis to a state of *follow the result*

With your hand, I'd nearly always call 3 way with AK early on... You are ahead of other aces/racing vs underpairs enough times to fade those small occasions you are against AA or KK

You made the right play. 90% of the time in a Party Poker MTT like this the guys you see who move in are moving in with some crap like KQ off or a weak ace. Without reads and just assuming these guys are your average Party donk, I call this.
