Yeah, he raised UTG 4xBB, you re-raised in MP, and he came over top. AK doesn't do that (unless you have reads on him as very LAGgy), if UTG hasn't really gotten out of line, this is AA-QQ.

Even on the flop, you're only beating KK (maybe AK), and he's already betting into you for 3/4 pot. I'd find it hard to fold a set, but I think you're far behind his range here. Nice catch on the river though.

I'm not a big fan of the re-raise PF, I probably just flat call for set/overpair value.

EDIT: My bad, misread the blinds, it's a mini-raise preflop. Still, this screams AA-QQ.

Don't reraise preflop. Call and play for set value. On the flop I get my money in everytime. Don't minraise sets in the future (although it really doesn't matter here since the stacks are so short.)

Edit: Like other posters, I didn't notice it was a miniraise preflop. If you're going to raise preflop, fold to the 3 bet.

I find minraise + reraise = worrying ... Don't think I'd call that raise to $10.
But if I did - I would fold it to the flop raise.

Bad reraise preflop against most opponents. Once there, you can't play differently.

The PF is bad. The flop is bad.

Flop bad why? It's not like it's a significant decision.

Because we are still behind most likely. If we thought villain has AK a significant portion of the time, a push preflop is correct.

Nonetheless, do you see folding this set as an option? Against KK, it probably doesn't matter what we do. Against all other hands, we're getting all in. I mean, this is a bad spot for sure but i am not folding.

Default Why I raised him pf

He Had raised close to 20% of his hands, that is why I reraised. When he reraised me I was worried though, and I was not crazy about the flop neither.
