Default Flopped Nut Low and over pair, PLO8 $200

I was in MP, one limper, I've got A399 ns and limped. MP+1 limped. 5-way action.

Flop, 268 rainbow. Checked to me, I bet 3/4 of the pot. MP+1 potted back... Anyway we both put our money in on the flop.

MP+1 had A3TT. I got quartered.

Did I play it too aggressively? Did I overvalue the strength of my hand? What would you do and why?

Thanks.

You're fine. I might have just called the raise to see if the turn was going to counterfeit me, but otherwise you have to push head-up with nut low + overpair.

Anyone else fold this hand PF? I'm just curious because I often times find myself losing hands exactly like these.

IF there's no raise, no way.

I'm not trying to argue whatsoever, but I still ask why?

Are we playing for set value as far as the high goes? I mean, we are playing for nut low a lot of the time, but A399 seems very vulnerable to other A3xx out there.

I'm just trying to think through it, and th only time we can scoop is on some 2-4-5 boards or sets. The overpair will rarely win in my experience.

Please let me know if my thinking here is flawed.

If there are other A3 out there you will not scoop with a 245 board - at best you will split and may get 3/4 if he has a 6.

I think the point is that this is a hand that potentially lets you drive the betting if your nut low (or a draw) comes or if you hit your set with a low draw. However, you really only have 2 cards you want to see on the flop for the second scenario, versus 6 if you have something like A3KJ. It is a potentially dangerous hand against a field though because unless the you thin it quickly, you can esily end up with 2nd best both ways.
