Default call the flop?

In a $30 qualifier for a $300 brick and mortar. 4 players get seats, no other prizes. 18 left, 8,500 average stack, i have about 11,000. blinds 300-600 and ante 50. 1350 in the pot to start. a loose pre-flop but solid after the flop middle player open limps. she was the chip leader at the table. folded around to me in the small blind with 2-6 clubs. i complete, the big blind (checks. 2250 in the pot.

flop comes J-4-3 rainbow with a club. i check (could have taken a stab but i wanted to see the action first, and maybe get a free card), BB checks, she bets 1000. i'm getting 3.25 to 1 to call to hit a straight. i know if i hit my card i will make a bundle, but i am worried about the BB (a tough player) acting after me.

what to do? <font color="black"> </font>

Call and fold to a big raise from the BB. Re-evaluate on the turn.

I'd find a better spot. You can't raise to isolate, and if the BB is tough he may raise what appears to be an obvious continuation bet, and you aren't getting odds to draw a 4 outer.

If she's solid postflop you can't count on the implied odds when the only draw on the board gets there.

i hear you, but if she has a jack, my straight is concealed and she will bet again on the turn, right? my biggest problem is that an ace is the other card that makes my straight. imagine if an ace comes and she has A-J!

Did you have 2-6 or 2-5? 2-5 would change a lot of things.

2-5 clubs. you just made me realize that i wrote 2-5 in the original post, i guess. maybe that's why its not generating any interest...

Fold. She probably doesn't have anything either. Even if you hit your straight there is no guarantee you'll get one more penny out of her. Your out of position and she may not fire again on the turn.

Yeah, with 2-5 I'd call and hope the BB comes along.

I'd really like to make it 3k, depending on how I built my stack.
