Default Saw the Mars Volta last night

And that is one hell of a band. Take King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, and Santana and put them in a blender and you get the Mars Volta.

I don't really hate that, I just chalk them up as an elitist [censored].

I am a big fan of "The Widow" and "L'Via L'Viaquez".

I saw them a week ago in Dallas. They had some sound issues early on, but the show was great overall. What did you think of SOAD?

SOAD was excellent, but their lack of versatility shows when you listen to them for an hour and a half straight.

Fantastic band, sounds like no other. It's great to see a pretty progressive band in the spotlight. I've got tickets to go see them again in a week (Should be a hell of a weekend, seeing Dream Theater at Gigantour the night before, and was supposed to see Howe, Squire and White at the Mohegan on thursday, but it got &*#&% cancelled...)
