Betting may gain you the occasional look-up call from Ace high, but other than that and perhaps 22 there's no hand you beat that will call. On the other hand every hand that beats you will call a bet. There's very little value in betting.
There's every chance your opponent has a busted draw which he might bet, so check-call has more chance of putting a bet in good than betting does. Guy. |

Well played. I think the only value-bet hand that might call a river bet that won't beat you is an Ax that missed & this will be rare.
