55 Turn Raise
3/6 6-max. MP is fairly TAGgish, although he is slightly looser and alittle more passive than your typical TAG. He can make plays, though. My image is pretty tight-aggressive since I haven't gotten many playable hands, although I don't know if MP is paying attention.
UTG calls, MP raises, I call in the small blind with 55. Big blind folds, UTG calls. 3 to the flop. Flop: 4 4 7 I check, UTG checks, MP bets, I raise, UTG folds, MP 3-bets, I call. Turn: 2 I check, MP bets, I raise. |

Re: 55 Turn Raise
Certainly looks like an overpair to me.

Re: 55 Turn Raise
This is clear spewing to me. You should definitley show down here, but don't charge yourself an arm and a let to do it. MP could easlily have overpair and is showing it down. This is a very expensive move, and you're banking on the fact that MP can lay down which you have no read for.
After MP bets, you're not giving a free card, so let him draw to his 6 outer overcards if thats what he has--you're still a big favorite and are making money on just a call. |

Re: 55 Turn Raise
I figured there was just as much a chance he had overcards as an overpair here, and unless he had AA I wasn't going to get 3-bet. And sure if he has overcards I make money by calling his bet, but I make more money by raising, especially with little chance of getting 3-bet.

Re: 55 Turn Raise
So you think he'll 3-bet overcards on the flop, but he won't 3-bet a non-AA overpair on the turn? That can't be right.
