Default Set Vs River Raise

Beginner table and villan is new to the table aswell as new to my PT.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Hero calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, MP1 folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls.

I raise, Might get me a free card/heads up and may discourage lonely hearts to fold(although the coverter had made it look like 8:2, It was around 7:2(3.5:1 to call) although i guess i cant really make them fold.

Turn: (5.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, Button calls, BB calls.

He checks so i bet out, I'm leading unless anyones slowplaying something.

River: (8.50 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, Button folds, BB raises, Hero...?

Crap, Can i really call this raise?

The last thing you want to be doing with this board is letting free cards come off.

In all honesty I would likely 3-bet the river after the way the BB played the turn, but I suppose that's debatable.

Folding would be next to awful.

Im still deciding about whether to 3-bet or just call..but folding is definately throwing away money.

Hi guys, He flipped over Ax[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] after i called the river. Expected to lose after that raise but couldn't fold it.

Cheers, Atleast i played it ok(Ish, Depending on if you want to 3bet it).

i figured many2pairs, Donks, Bluffing fish may raise there so called.
