Default Going to Borgata, AC; Do you need to rent a car?

Hi !

Im going to play in the WPT Main Event in September at the Borgata. I'm flying from El Paso, Texas; and I have the following questions:

Do I need to rent a car?

The best way to get to AC is flying to Philadelphia?

Thanks in advance

David

AC has an airport also (with limited service). Otherwise, Philly is it. (1 hr drive from the Philadelphia airport to AC.)

You can cab it everywhere in AC for under $10 each way.

What everyone is implying but not stating explicitly is that you probably won't want to leave Borgata. You might do it once to check out the boardwalk or go to the Taj, but that's it. So get to town and head to the Borg via cab. If you feel punchy and want to check out the rest of AC, make sure to have the cab driver take you to White House Subs and eat a sandwich there. That'll be worth your time but the rest of the city is fairly craptacular.

What is the parking situation at the Borgata? I'm staying at a hotel the next town over (Absecon, I think?) and taking a cab there seems like an overly expensive option at best.

Yes, I know about the AC airport, but the flight is much more expensive. So I guess I take Phily. If I don't rent a car; Is there an easy way to get from the Phily Airport to Borgat? Does anybody know the cost?

There's a train I believe. Google NJTransit or SEPTA and you should get information.

Parkiing is ample, but it is $5 a day.

A lot of these hotels have shuttles, but they run very limited hours. I wouldn't rely on that unless you plan on being in bed by 11PM.
